Temporary suspension of online ordering

Please accept my apologies, Stampin' Up! have temporarily suspended our online shopping facility to iron out some issues we've been experiencing.  The system is expected to be unavailable for at least a week.

Please be assured that you are still able to place any orders by simply emailing me or by giving me a call, and I will happily help.  Of course, during this time, you can still access my web page by clicking on my order online button to view my class dates, and book classes by pressing RSVP!

I will let you know when our online shopping facility is back up and running.  Many thanks for your understanding.

A Card Challenge.....

Hey there, hope you are all OK!  I've got a bit of a different post for you today!  I've taken part in Scrapbook challenges before, but not Card ones.... until now!

A fellow Pinkie (my Stampin' Up! Family), Anthony Warwood at Cardiff Crafter set a colour challenge.  This time it was More Mustard, Bravo Burgandy, and Real Red, all colours that are moving out of our Colour Collections.  I didn't have a chance to take part in the first challenge, so I made sure I completed the second challenge, and here it is.

First the card, which I love!  I'm sure it's going to be a card that I struggle to give away.  I think it's going to have to be given to someone special!

The card with the Envelope!  You know I just can't leave an envelope unstamped, well most of the time!  I love this Stamp Set, Delicate Doilies, and it's one I turn to all the time!

Stampin' Up! Products used:
Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard and Real Red Classic Ink Pad

Love you Layout....

My husband, Craig, and I are childhood sweethearts, and we've been together an awfully long time.  I struggle to catch Craig on camera to document this fact, so when the opportunity arose to take this photo, I took it!

This photo was taken at Stockgrove Country Park in the snow (yes it was actually snowing, and quite hard!).  Craig didn't know that I was taking this, which is just as well otherwise he would have moved! I picked out the reddish colour of his hat and the yellow on his jacket for my layout.

I thought I'd show you all the elements on my page close up!  It shows that you don't need to over embellish your layout to make it look busy!  This is one of my favourites so far!

Lazy Days...

Cornwall is one of our favourite places to visit, it makes us take a breath, slow down and have quality family time.  We were walking down the very steep slope to the boat house at Lizard Point, when the lobster pots caught my eye!

The lobster pots looked so pretty, and just reminded me of lazy days and the summer! These papers were perfect for my photo!

Because of all the flowers on my papers and in the photo's, the Butterflies seemed a perfect fit (and you know I can't resist a Butterfly)!  I really do like Stampin' Up!'s Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches, they really compliment each other!

This has to be one of my favourite layouts and I think it's because of the stash used.

My first Stampin' Up! Event in Telford

Hey everyone, how're doing?  I'm talking to you today from my very first Stampin' Up! Event in Telford!!  This is a Regional training event, and I've been sooo looking forward to it!  My family have bought me to Telford today, then have gone for a day out, so we're all happy!!

When we attend Stampin' Up! Events, we make something called swaps!  This is basically a hand made business card that you swap with other Demonstrators at the event.  As it's my first event, I've made over 100, as I'm meeting my wider Stampin' Up! Pinkies team for the first time, and I'd like to swap with other Demo's who I talk too!  Here's what I'm handing out today.

Everything we use has to be exclusively Stampin' Up Products, and my swap is a little interactive!  Can you see how?  Yep, that's right, if you pull on the ear tab on the owl, he flies out of his hole in the tree!

The owl was made using the Owl Builder Punch and each piece was cut and glued together individually.  It was a painstaking job, but well worth it.  I hope that they go down a treat today at the event!

Family in the snow!

We love being out in the Snow, so when the snow hit earlier on in the year, we couldn't resist having family time out in the snow!  I don't usually complete layouts with more than one photo, so this layout was a challenge for me.

We'd bought James and Emily new snow boards, although they chose to use their snow boards from last year, and we bought a snowball maker!  A lot of fun was had by everyone, including our Border Terrier, Jack!

I also wanted to use a technique on this layout that I hadn't used before, so I tried resist embossing!  I embossed a Heart from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set with clear embossing powder, then I used a paint dauber and went over the embossing.  Once the ink was the colour I wanted, I then used a piece of kitchen towel to wipe the ink off of the embossing powder, and this was the result!  It is a bit fiddly, but the the results are lovely.
